Who we are
Kitchen King is a kitchen fitting and joinery business operating across Liverpool, the Wirral and Chester. For anything relating to this policy or your information, contact us at kitchenking.adam@gmail.com or on 07984 604915.
For the purposes of UK data protection law, Kitchen King is the data controller for the information described below.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us. If you fill in the quote form, that is:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address, if you enter one
- Anything you write in the message box
If you call, email or message us on WhatsApp instead, we hold whatever you send us in that conversation. We do not buy contact details from anyone, and we do not collect anything about you in the background as you browse.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your details to reply to your enquiry, arrange a quote or a visit, and carry out work if you go ahead. The lawful basis is legitimate interests, specifically responding to somebody who has asked us to get in touch, and where you become a customer, performance of a contract.
We will not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing you did not ask for.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted within 12 months. If you become a customer, we keep records of the job for 6 years, which is the period we may need them for tax, insurance or guarantee purposes.
Who else sees it
We do not sell or share your information with anyone for marketing. A small number of companies handle data on our behalf as part of running the site and the business:
- Netlify hosts this website and processes quote form submissions
- Google provides the email account we receive enquiries into, and serves the fonts used on this site
Where a job needs another trade, for example an electrician or a plasterer, we will only pass on what they need to do the work, and only once you have agreed to go ahead.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies and does not track you. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel and no third party tracking, which is why you are not being asked to accept anything.
Two things are loaded from outside this site to make it work: the fonts and the styling library. Those requests tell the companies providing them your IP address, in the same way visiting any website does. Neither sets a cookie or builds a profile of you.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your information
- Stop using it, or restrict how we use it
- Provide it in a portable format
Email kitchenking.adam@gmail.com and we will deal with it within one month. There is no charge.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
